Update 2/1/26: Just a quick reminder that this Accor transfer bonus is live for today only.
~
Update: Bilt has confirmed that Bilt Mastercard cardholders won’t have to make five purchases during the billing cycle covering February 1 in order to earn points on your rent this coming month. Per Bilt:
We will be waiving the 5 minimum transaction requirement for anyone who has pending points at conversion.
~
Bilt has released details of their next Rent Day promotions and there’s another good transfer bonus on the horizon, this time to Accor. In addition to that, there’ll be more people than usual who’ll win free rent for the month, plus it’s the last chance to earn double points on the Bilt Mastercard.
You’ll also have the opportunity to redeem Bilt Cash for a higher transfer bonus for the first time, but your chances of actually being able to do that are miniscule.

The Deals
- Get a transfer bonus from Bilt to Accor on the following basis depending on your status level:
- Blue – 25% (6:5)
- Silver – 50% (1:1)

Quick Thoughts
Accor transfer bonus
Bilt points usually transfer to Accor on a 3:2 basis. That’s why the various transfer ratios for the Rent Day transfer bonus look a bit goofy compared to what they’re like when Bilt points transfer 1:1 to other partners.
The reason for that different transfer ratio is that Accor points have a fixed value of 2 Euro cents (~2.4 cents in US dollars). That means that for every 1,000 points you transfer to Accor on Rent Day, you’ll get the following (values listed below have been converted from Euros to US dollars):
- Blue – 833.33 points (worth ~$19.82)
- Silver – 1,000 points (worth ~$23.78)
- Gold – 1,166.67 points (worth ~$27.75)
- Platinum – 1,333.33 points (worth ~$31.71)
- Platinum (also redeeming $75 Bilt Cash) – 1,500 points (worth ~$35.67)
Getting what is, in effect, a minimum of two cents per point of value from your Bilt points – even if you have no status – is a very good redemption option, especially considering we don’t yet know what kind of transfer bonuses Bilt will offer going forward once the new Bilt 2.0 cards are in play.
February 1 is also the first opportunity that Bilt members will have to redeem Bilt Cash to boost their status level to access a higher transfer bonus level. It’ll cost $75 of Bilt Cash to boost your status by one level and you’re limited to only one level increase. That means Blue members can only boost themselves to Silver, Silver to Gold, etc. Platinum members can also gain access to a higher transfer bonus of 125% by redeeming $75 Bilt Cash.
$75 of Bilt Cash can be redeemed (amongst all kinds of other things) to earn 2,500 points when paying for your rent or mortgage through Bilt. Whether it’s worth redeeming that for access to a higher Accor transfer bonus depends on a) how many points you’d be transferring to Accor and b) how you value Bilt points versus the 2 Euro cents per point of value you’d get from Accor points.
The thing is, your ability to take advantage of this status level boost will be severely hampered by your (likely) low – or non-existent – Bilt Cash balance. Bilt Cash earned as part of the welcome bonuses on the new Bilt credit cards won’t be awarded until a week into February. That means the only way you’ll have been able to earn $75 Bilt Cash will have been to earn 50,000 Bilt points or more since Bilt Cash was launched (because you receive $50 Bilt Cash for every 25,000 points you earn). Bilt has stated that a “significant portion” of Bilt members have earned $100+ Bilt Cash, although we don’t know what constitutes a significant portion.
Rent Free
Every month, Bilt runs a competition they call Rent Free where members can enter to win their rent for a month or a year. Starting today and running through to the afternoon on February 1, this latest edition of Rent Free will have an increased number of winners. It doesn’t cost anything to enter, so it might be worth participating.
Double points
Up until now, Bilt Mastercard cardholders have been able to earn double points on Rent Day, now capped at 1,000 bonus points. We don’t know yet how – or even if – something similar will be offered on the new Bilt cards going forward. No matter what, this’ll be the last chance to earn double points on Rent Day for existing Bilt Mastercard cardholders.
Other stuff
On Rent Day Bilt will also be offering various other experiences for dining, comedy, and fitness, so check the app on February 1 if those might interest you.

Today is Feb 1st and I have $0 Bilt Cash, I signed up for Palladium card and have received it already. How am I supposed to use Bilt cash today?
I was under the impression we need to wait for February 7 for the new card(s) and associated benefits to go ‘live.’
I was confused about the ability to buy up with Bilt Cash and shocked to hear that many members already have $100.
Under Bilt 1.0, cardholders earned Bilt Cash on spending. The Bilt Cash they have is from that spending and not the 2.0 cards.
I have Bilt 1.0 for over two years and have $0 Bilt Cash
Bilt Cash only kicked in last year. Under Bilt 1.0, it operates as a step function, with each step being $25k in spending. Did you spend at least $25k with the card during the last calendar year?
Yes I understand that, but it’s hard to believe that people had already put $50k in spend on their Bilt 1.0 cards in a month. That’s what you would need to have $75 in Bilt Cash on your card already. That’s quite the credit limit that I doubt WF gives out regularly.
Some have put far more that $50k on the card.
Awesome the one month that you down in level before the new card comes and you get gold for a transfer bonus when you are blue with no Bilt cash.
Did you actually want to transfer points to Accor?
I have multiple trips planned to some of the best Fairmonts in Canada and UK. I did the 200% trasfer bonus last year with Bilt and have enough points to pay for over 2/3s of my stays. St. Andrews, Lake Louis and Banff, so YES I do want some more Accor points, but I am only Blue for this month before getting Gold back again on Feb 7th, so I missed my Accor accelerated bonus because if they would have done in March or beyond this year, I would have gotten better accelerated exchange value.. Hence my origiinal post.
Would it have been worth it to put enough spending on the Bilt card last year in order to have the tier status for the big transfer bonuses? There’s an opportunity cost. And, only you can answer the question. Good luck.
Yep, I have quite a few CCs. I am just a little bitter that they chose Feb 1 for this transfer bonus. Super interested what they do in 2026. Hyatt 1:1 is still a SOLID anything transfer for this card.
I was able to use last June to transfer with bonus that will fund a lot of my 2026 trips!
I thought the new program starts Feb 8. What do you mean Feb 1 is the first opportunity to use Bilt cash?
That’s explained in the post
Super cool. The most complicated credit card has a transfer bonus to the most complicated hotel program.
*burp* h’yupppp.
Definitely not by any means a “complicated” hotel program. Getting a fixed value for your points (essentially as a discount against cash price) is pretty straightforward if you ask me. I’ve stayed at some amazing Accor properties and it certainly could be worth it for people with Bilt status.
Name one decent Accor property. I’ll wait…
You probably have never stayed at one I just stayed in the most expensive room at Fairmont Long Beach a month or so ago and it was wonderful. Fairmont Marrakech, Fairmont Beijing, Fairmont Doha, etc etc. Shall I keep going?
Fairmonts in Caribbean have been ‘ass’… San Juan, Puerto Rico was like a Motel 6. Barbados was so strict about check-in time, I felt like I was attempting to enter an Amex lounge before 3 hours ahead of scheduled departure. Yeesh.
The ones I mentioned were great. Also swisshotel has been fire.
Just go transfer your points to hilton and be done with it. Love when people complain about these programs because it brings that much more value to me.
Hilton? Naw. Accor to FlyingBlue, friend. That is the way!
Raffles in Paris is fabulous
Ok, Raffles is the sweet spot within Accor (I have stayed at Le Royal Monceau; it’s lovely); I was mostly trashing Fairmonts.
In another comment, you praised Raffles. Now, this comment?
The Fairmonts in Canada.
The Fairmont in San Francisco.
The Savoy in London in managed by Fairmont.
Raffles is the exception; it’s a shame there aren’t more in the US; have stayed at the new one in Boston. 10/10.
Someone on Reddit pointed out that Platinum members can transfer to Accor at a rate that exceeds the Accor to Rakuten transfer ratio, making it a points earner.
Do we still need to buy the 5 bananas before Feb 7 in order to earn the points on February’s rent?
-Kerr
We’ve reached out to Bilt to clarify how this will work – I’ll let you know once we get a reply.
Just buy four bananas just in case. Either way, they contain plenty of natural potassium.
Will do. I figured FM might want to remind those who usually didn’t need to buy bananas to earn Bilt points that they might need to in Feb due to the timing of the “seamless” transition.
We’ve just heard back from Bilt – they’ve confirmed the five transaction minimum will be waived for February:
We will be waiving the 5 minimum transaction requirement for anyone who has pending points at conversion.
That’s a pleasant surprise.
Bilt is now stating on Reddit that the five transaction minimum is not waived.
So either customer support on Reddit is wrong or they’re telling you wrong things.
Ugh, thanks for the heads up. I’ve just reached back out to our rep to get some clarity on this.

Thanks!
We checked with Bilt and they confirmed again that the five transaction requirement is being waived. They’ve added a comment on that thread now too https://www.reddit.com/r/biltrewards/comments/1qu7pwj/comment/o3j857l/
I’m just upping the authorized amount in Bilt and paying a couple months’ rent in advance before it ends.
