Dan’s Deals shares a link to activate a free GrubHub+ membership through the end of 2021. Dan’s Deals doesn’t share any geographical restrictions on the deal, but from the fine print it seems possible that this will only be available for those living in select cities. It may be worth a shot even if you don’t in case it work.
While many readers have likely gotten a free year of GrubHub+ through Lyft Pink membership (since it has been possible to activate a free year of Lyft Pink with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card), but many may have had that free membership run out and this could therefore be useful (particularly for those monthly Amex Gold credits).
The Deal
- GrubHub is offering free GrubHub+ for the remainder of 2021 with no special credit card required
- Direct link to this promotion

Quick Thoughts
Note two key terms bolded above: it looks like this deal is geographically limited to a few markets. On the bright side, there is no automatic renewal.
GruhHub+ gives you free delivery on orders of $12 or more from participating restaurants and 10% back on pickup orders. If you frequently pick up meals, that’s not a bad deal.
I actually thought that I had never activated the free Lyft Pink membership since I barely had any travel before the pandemic began last year. However, when I looked into it, I realized that I did in fact activate it for a single Lyft ride last February, so my window for getting a free GrubHub+ membership closed. Whoops. So this deal is convenient enough for me.
On the other hand, if you never activated your Lyft Pink membership with the Sapphire Reserve, I believe you can still do that now. Travel With Grant has an easy-to-follow guide for how to parlay your free Lyft Pink membership into free GrubHub+. In that case, I assume you’d get access for a year rather than just a few months.
The free Grubhub+ in the App from 2021 says ending soon … When does it end ?
Worked for me in Austin. Thanks!
Great, thanks!!
Worked fine for me just now in the Detroit area.
[…] Update 8/20/21: Here is a direct link for the offer. This link only works for those in New York City (excluding Manhattan), Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and Connecticut. Might be YMMV as well. Hat tip to myiddf and FM […]
