Get $120 back on $600+ spend with Delta Stays Amex Offer (stack with Delta Stays benefit)

1

The personal and business versions of the Delta Gold, Platinum, and Reserve cards all come with a Delta Stays benefit. There’s currently a targeted Amex Offer for Delta Stays that can save you even more money, with the two benefits/offers stacking with each other.

Delta Stays Amex Offer

The Deal

  • Spend $600+ in one or more purchases of pre-paid Delta Stays & get $120 back with an Amex Offer.

Key Terms

  • Expires December 31, 2025.
  • Enrollment required.
  • Offer valid for prepaid stays purchased online only at US website carsandstays.delta.com/Hotels.
  • Excludes vacation rentals, car rentals and gift card purchases.
  • Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Quick Thoughts

This is a pretty good offer in and of itself seeing as it can save you up to 20% on prepaid stays booked through Delta Stays, with the $600 spending threshold being valid across one or more bookings.

Where it becomes even more enticing is if you haven’t made use of the Delta Stays credit on a Delta credit card where this new Amex Offer appears. For example, I got it on my Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card which offers up to $150 back each calendar year on prepaid hotels and vacation rentals booked through Delta Stays. I haven’t used that benefit yet this year, so if I was to book $600 worth of prepaid stays, I’d expect to get $150 back from that standard benefit, as well as $120 from this new Amex Offer. That’s a total of $270 back which is a 45% rebate if spending exactly $600.

Bear in mind that hotel bookings made through Delta Stays will be regarded by the hotel chain as having been booked through an OTA (Online Travel Agency), akin to booking via Hotels.com, Expedia, etc. That means you won’t be eligible for status benefits, won’t earn hotel points, elite night credits, etc. Forgoing those could still be worth it based on the potential savings on offer, but it’s an important consideration if any of those other factors would make a significant difference to you.

Seeing as the Amex Offer is valid for prepaid stays, you could use it for stays in 2026 that take place after the Amex Offer itself expires at the end of this year.
