Get a $10 Staples promo gift card with each $50 e-gift card purchase. Gift cards are emailed to you, but can only be used in-store. $10 promo codes expire on 9/22/2013.
Is this a good deal? See what I wrote when they ran the same promotion earlier in the summer: “How good is this deal? Free $10 ePromo card at Staples when you buy a $50 eGift card”
This time I decided to go for the deal. There are several good Free After Easy Rebate offers available at Staples which make it easy to convert gift cards into cash.
Details from Staples.com:
- For every $50 in eGift Cards you purchase receive a $10 ePromotional Card!
- Limit a total of 4 ePromo cards.
- Limit one ePromo card per in-store transaction.
- ePromotional Card offer valid from 8/25/13 through 9/8/13 while supplies last.
- EPROMO CARD EXPIRES ON 9/22/13.
- Please see additional terms and conditions at https://staples.cashstar.com/about/terms_and_conditions/

is this deal dead? I put in $50 into the cart, and nothing like an ePromo shows up….
never mind, expired…
Nevermind, I did it, and if you buy a $200 you get 4 promo cards. In fact, they show up as soon as you put the $200 in your cart.
Anyone know if we can just purchase a $200 all at once, rather than 4 $50 eGift cards?
It sounds like it should be OK from the wording, but I want to be sure.
Never mind. It’s right there already.
Might want to revise the article to point out that the egift cards we’re buying can’t be used online, only in the store. Slows down the liquidation time for sure.
If you’re willing to do some extra legwork, you can get UR points. Just buy a staples $200 Visa card (plus 6.95 fee) and get $200 in e-gift cards plus $40 in promo cards. $7 for 1,035 UR points isn’t bad and your still $33 dollars ahead from where you were.
Why go through the extra step? Won’t you get 1000 UR points for buying $200 in Staples GC online? And no fee at all?
The merchant for this deal isn’t staples directly
Good idea Greg, maybe it will work with the 3 FAR deals: http://travelwithgrant.com/2013/08/25/3-quick-staples-free-after-rebate-far-deals-for-8-25-8-31/
