Hyatt’s 2K Next Stay milestone reward expanded to more brands

7

World of Hyatt has a number of milestone rewards that are earned or can be selected at various elite night thresholds. At 20 elite nights, one of the milestone reward options is 2,000 bonus Hyatt points on your next stay at a qualifying brand. As of the beginning of 2025, Hyatt has added a couple of brands to the list of those qualifying.

Hyatt’s “2K Next Stay” award has long been valid for stays at Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Caption by Hyatt, and UrCove. However, a couple additional brands have been added:

World of Hyatt 2k Next Stay Milestone Rewards are now eligible for stays at Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Caption by Hyatt, Me and All Hotels, Hyatt Studios, or UrCove hotel (Me and All and Hyatt Studios seems to be new)

The new additions here are Me and All Hotels and Hyatt Studios. The Me and All Hotels brand is a European limited-service brand that Hyatt acquired last year.

Hyatt Studios is an extended stay brand set to launch in the US later this year that awards half the points earned on paid rates as compared to other Hyatt brands (but still earns 1 elite night per night stayed).

It’s not wildly surprising to see those two brands lumped in with the others eligible for this benefit since all of the included brands are of the more limited-service variety. Still, I’m glad to see more options added, especially considering the fact that Caption and UrCove have very, very limited footprints (UrCove is only in China and the only Caption property I’ve seen is the one in Osaka, where I stayed last summer).

A quick word of caution: I stayed at a UrCove property in China during our Million Mile Madness challenge almost two months ago. I still haven’t received any points from my stay or elite night credit (despite requesting missing stay credit and following up with My Hyatt Concierge multiple times, mostly unanswered). I ended the year with 59 elite nights, so I’m still waiting on that night to credit in order to get my 60-night milestone rewards. I had booked the stay directly through the Hyatt app (and it showed in the app and I had the email confirmation, etc). I would have expected it to credit automatically, but it didn’t. I’ve seen similar reports from many others, so I’d recommend selecting your 2K Next Stay award before some other qualifying brand or run the risk of being stuck in a long loop to get your stay and points credited.

I have also found that My Hyatt Concierge is slow to respond – if at all – the few times I’ve reached out to them for what should be very simple, straightforward requests. It’s incredibly disappointing that what is branded as an elite level of service exclusive to Globalists is, just as often as not, about as helpful as talking to a wall.

To use the 2k next stay, does it have to be a cash stay or can it be a points stay?

Josh

either

That’s terrible that you can’t get your UrCove night credited to get to 60. Have you tried just calling the World of Hyatt customer service desk? I’ve had trouble with a couple of foreign stays over the last few years, but Hyatt has always quickly credited me the nights when I brought it to their attention. You seem to have more than enough documentation to make this an easy call for them.

Following..Happy New Year, Nick!

Caption does have a very limited footprint, but there are two much closer to home, in Memphis and Nashville, as well as one in Shanghai. I wonder if your UrCove stay credit is being held up as Hyatt continues to sort through all the scammers that were in bed with at least one of the brand’s properties for fraudulent purposes. Good luck with that and SAS.
