IHG is currently running a sale giving a 20% discount on award stays at its mostly-all-inclusive Iberostar brand. It’s valid on stays from June through August, but you have to book by March 13.

Quick Thoughts
IHG bought Iberostar a year or two ago and continue to try highlighting the brand in a number of different ways. Sometimes that’s in the form of increased shopping portal cashback for this specific brand, while this latest sale ostensibly gives a discount on award stays.
The problem is that there’s no indication that a discount is actually being applied. Normally when IHG offers discounts (such as this 15% discount on new properties), the regular price is struck through and the new lower price is displayed. That’s not happening with this Iberostar sale. When running searches for Iberostar stays in Spain and Mexico, nothing was struck through despite searching for stays between June 1 and August 31. Hopefully that means that the discount is already being applied, but I’ve no idea what the pricing would normally be.
Before booking a stay at Iberostar, be sure to verify what – if any – meals are included. Many Iberostar properties are all-inclusive, but some aren’t. The ones that aren’t might include breakfast, but it’s best to check beforehand as much of the appeal of Iberostar is the all-inclusive element, especially considering the often-high award rates.
