The Deal

  • Several shopping portals are offering increased payouts today for Dell purchases, including:

Key Terms

Example terms from Rakuten (check your chosen portal before clicking through for any differences):

  • Exclusions: Cash Back is not available on Dell Outlet, Dell Refurbished Computers, or Dell Canada purchases via Dell Technologies. Cash Back is not available on Dell Business Alliance Systems orders, Dell Employee & Affiliates Purchase Program, Dell Premier Orders, Education orders, Emerging Business Division orders, gift cards, Government orders, Healthcare orders, Internet Service Provider Division orders, Medium & Large Business orders, Dell QTO (Quote to order), Dell Outlet orders. Cash Back not available on sales of products and services believed to be sold to parties reselling products and/or services offered by Dell. Cash Back is not available on high volume orders. Dell defines high volume as more than 3 units within 30 days of any system.
  • Special Terms: Cash Back is only available on US orders placed on the Dell Technologies US site. Using coupon codes that are not listed on Rakuten may void Cash Back. To be safe, stick to codes provided by Rakuten.

Quick Thoughts

These are all good Dell payouts. Which you prefer depends on how you value each currency. While TopCashBack offers 1% more than Rakuten, those collecting Amex Membership Rewards points likely value those points at more than 1c per point and thus may prefer shopping through Rakuten. While most people would likely value 10 Membership Rewards points per dollar more highly than 12 Wyndham Rewards points, those who primarily use Wyndham points for Vacasa may prefer the Wyndham payout. There’s no one correct answer as to which is best.

Keep in mind that these payouts should stack nicely on top of things like current Amex Offers for dell — there’s an offer out for $40 back on $200 and an offer out for $120 back on $599. Those with a credit card that offers a $200 statement credit at Dell twice a year could also stack with these increased payouts.

Are Xbox giftcards not available on Dell at the moment? Go figure the first time I ever attempt to go that route, I can’t seem to find any for sale…

Matt

Still waiting for Dell cash back after challenging with Rakuten. Day 25 and counting.

Tyler

Anyone else need to challenge every Rakuten/Dell purchase lately? I have lots of family Biz Plats and across multiple Rakuten and Dell accounts (for each person). The last few months, the click and purchase will track, go to pending, then go to zero. I have to open a ticket and wait anywhere from 1 to 30 days. No rejections yet, but only a matter of time. Perhaps Dell is starting to try to discourage their heavier cash back users?

Rob

Suggestion for a topic – best $400/$600 Dell buys for those of us who can split payment now that we have multiple Business Platinum credits to use up.
