A few days ago, Stephen reported new card-linked offers for various Marriott brands available via Chase cards. Historically, we’ve often seen some overlap between Chase Offers and Bank of America offers, but I wanted to post a quick follow-up to alert readers to the fact that I’ve also found many of these offers on my U.S. Bank cards as well.
The Deal
- There are card-linked offers out for 10% back on many Marriott brands. These offers have been found on Chase cards, but also on U.S. Bank cards (and possibly also on Bank of America and Wells Fargo cards, perhaps others)
Key Terms
- Maximums vary by brand
Quick Thoughts
As was the case with the Chase Offers that Stephen previously reported, I am seeing offers for 10% back at several Marriott brands on my U.S. Bank cards, including:
- 10% back at Renaissance hotels (up to $75 back)
- 10% back at Sheraton hotels (up to $57 back)
- 10% back at Westin (up to $68 back)
- 10% back at SpringHill Suites (up to $61.50 back)
- 10% back at Fairfield (up to $38 back)
I also saw an offer for Gaylord National near Washington, DC (a Marriott property) on cards from several banks, including Bank of America and Wells Fargo.
While we already reported some of these offers, I thought it worth noting the additional brands and additional banks with which you can find these offers. Keep in mind that many of these brands sell gift cards, so it should be possible to lock in the savings long-term if 10% off on Marriott gift cards would be appealing to you. I would recommend calling to be sure that your qualifying property sells gift cards before making a trip to the front desk. Given the fact that we sometimes see Amex Offers for greater savings, I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to buy gift cards with these offers, but they might be useful if you have a qualifying stay.
[…] Chase Offers has $50 off of $250 or more in JW Marriott and W Hotel brands booked by October 31. Yes, you can find a way to use these without actually being #bonvoyed if you try. There are also targeted offers for Sheraton, Renaissance, Springhill Suites, and other Marriott brands, and ditto on the #bonvoyed thing. (Thanks to DoC, FM) […]
Anyone have an idea why I can no longer see U.S. Bank offers on the website or mobile app when I log in? They were there about a month ago for two weeks and then just disappeared. Tech support was clueless. I was bummed, as I had offers at Best Buy and Kohl’s for 10 percent off total purchase and was never able to use them.
Thanks for the heads-up on this. Just FYI, I found 10 different hotel offers on my US Bank Altitude Reserve, but NONE of them appeared under the “TRAVEL” section. I had to find them individually.
I didn’t know USB had promotional spend credit card offers. Where can these be found? I’ve searched the desktop website and mobile app, but can’t find anything on my Reserve.
From a desktop site the offers section is in the bottom right corner of the main page after logging in. I’ve noticed my Chase offers can be buggy and not have the box for them show up, US Bank occasionally has the same thing happen and requires logging out and in again to fix it.
