Quick Thoughts
The fact that they always exclude Visa, Mastercard and Amazon gift cards is disappointing. However, this still has the potential to be a profitable deal for reselling depending on the rates available to you for other gift card brands like eBay, Best Buy, Home Depot, etc.
Note that this isn’t a $5 instant discount; each $5 reward is loaded to your mPerks card after you buy the gift cards. If you buy the cards as soon as you arrive at Meijer and then go grocery shopping, the rewards should be available by the time you check out.
Looks like Netflix is not excluded this time!
You’re right – I wonder if that’s been deliberately left off or if it’s still excluded but they’ve made a mistake not listing it as an excluded card.
I’m going to find out! And if it’s excluded, *they’re* going to find out :).
Resell to who exactly? Are any companies left buying gift cards these day?
There are still some places out there buying gift cards, plus Raise might be an option for those that have access to reduced fees due to bulk selling.
Any specifics? I used to sell heavily with giftcardzen and then The Plastic Merchant but would love to get back into the loop with bulk selling.
