There’s a new, targeted Microsoft Store Amex Offer out that’s giving $175 back when spending $1,000 or more. Even if you don’t need to buy anything from Microsoft before the end of the year, there is a way to lock in the value now for future purchases.
The Deal
- Spend $1,000 in one or more transactions at Microsoft Store & get $175 back with a targeted Amex Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires December 31, 2023.
- Enrollment limited.
- Offer valid online at US website microsoft.com/en-us and via the Microsoft Store app.
- Not valid on purchases shipped outside of the US and Puerto Rico.
- Excludes B2B services, Bing ads, Skype, Microsoft Living Well health center, Microsoft Production Studio, Microsoft Theater, AppSource, Consulting services, Azure and Azure Marketplace.
- Excludes authorized retailers.
- If you are a new customer receiving a free trial, you must be enrolled in the free trial prior to the campaign end date to qualify. Charges may not post to your account until the free trial has lapsed. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law.
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
This offer started a couple of months ago, but it doesn’t look like we’d covered it at the time and more people are now being targeted for it.
Saving up to 17.5% on a Microsoft Store purchase is a good deal, even if you don’t need any new products right now. That’s because Microsoft lets you buy Xbox gift cards online which can then be loaded to your account for future purchases. Provided Microsoft fulfills your orders (for some reason I can’t even place an order with them, let alone get one fulfilled), you could buy $1,000 worth of Xbox gift cards to lock in the 17.5% savings.
Be sure to click through from a shopping portal before making any purchases from Microsoft – here are the current rates. Also check any targeted rates you might have from Capital One Shopping as those won’t show up on Cashback Monitor. For example, on the Capital One Shopping homepage on desktop, when I click ‘Filters’ and then filter for Microsoft, I have one offer giving 8.5% cashback and another giving 10% cashback.
