Quick Thoughts
First of all, it’s easy to get National Executive status via several credit cards, like the various forms of the Amex Platinum card or the Chase Sapphire Reserve. When booking a mid-size car, this allows you to choose from either the Emerald Aisle or the Executive Aisle, which offers a wide variety of cars. That makes the free rental earned from these promotions even more appealing.
It’s worth noting that you have to rent midsize or larger cars for a total of at least four days in order to get the free rental. Those requirements potentially bump up the cost, so price out Economy and Compact options if you’d usually be happy with one of those classes of cars in case the money saved could effectively pay for a free rental day.
That said, if you’ll use the free rental day for a one-way rental, it could potentially save you quite a bit, so while free days aren’t valuable enough to make this worth a rental run just for the free days, it might sway you to choose National when other factors are roughly equal.

Minor typo in the opening paragraph:
“after a minimum of two rentals or two days or more.”
(bold should be “of”)
Am I reading this correctly? If I am to book back to back 2 day rentals of a midsize car I could earn a free day for each reservation starting with my second 2 day rental?

Tim – quick question, I have registered for the promo. My current rental started March 23 and I currently return on April 17, 2025. Will it qualify? Or do I need to break up the rental and get a new one after April 1 if I want the promo to apply? Appreciate an answer or even an educated guess.
Loyalty Scheme….you are a wordsmith Tim
I always take advantage of this promo when it comes up. Just so happens it aligns with my travel plans. Those free days are really helpful at times.
