Kathy in our Frequent Miler Insiders group pointed out yesterday that Kimpton has debuted a new “secret password” for a surprise at check-in. The new password is “Just chilling”.
❄️ OUR WINTER SOCIAL PASSWORD IS HERE!! ❄️
Starting today through 2/21, say ‘Just Chilling,’ to our friendly front desk team at check-in, and you’ll be rewarded with a feel-good surprise. Also, feel free to lose the ‘g’ if you’re feelin’ it. Happy Winter, friends! 📷 @gabe_stej pic.twitter.com/FHwqFktRt7— Kimpton (@Kimpton) November 26, 2021
Kimpton periodically runs a secret password that they share via social media. You simply say the phrase during check-in and get some sort of surprise. The quality of the surprise varies a lot from one property to the next and could be something like a free drink or snack, but sometimes it is notably better or worse. YMMV, but it doesn’t cost you anything to utter the phrase at check-in so it’s worth keeping this in mind if you’ll have any Kimpton stays between now and 2/21.
I checked in to Kimpton in DC last night. Front desk told me the program ended a few weeks go. But still gave me 200 points.
Just finished a 3-night stay at Kimpton Monaco Philadelphia. Originally booked a standard King and was proactively upgraded to a Park View King via Plat Elite status. Mentioned secret pw at check-in, spun the wheel of fortune and miraculously landed on “room upgrade” which got us into a Corner King Spa (with Japanese soaking tub) on the 10th (top) floor for our entire 3-night stay.

Thanks, Nick! Earned me a $50 dining credit at the Kimpton Brice in Savannah (pairs nicely with the AMEX $100 Plat dining credit)
(& the $60 off AMEX Offer!)
Dang, just missed the promo as I was at the Kimpton Muse in NYC a few days ago. Hopefully I can use the promo code before it expires in February.
”Just chillin’….”
Your surprise? See “Icebucket Challenge”.
Don’t say you weren’t warned…
