Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is happening now! Follow us as Greg, Nick, and Stephen compete to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines before November 23rd. Who will complete the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
Priority Pass has been consistently expanding its network of restaurants to supplment the lounges you could traditionally access with the pass, and they have now added one at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Barney’s Beanery.
As shown in the screen shot above, Barney’s Beanery is airside at Terminal 2. I’m pretty excited about that because Delta uses that terminal and I’m scheduled to fly from into LAX in a couple of weeks on Delta. Hopefully, we won’t get stuck landing at T3 and I’ll get a chance to check this place out.
As is the case with other Priority Pass restaurants, cardholders will be entitled to a credit of $28 per person with their Priority Pass — the number of free guests depends on which credit card is issuing your membership. As Greg recently noted, the Priority Pass issued by the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Visa Infinite theoretically allows unlimited guests and authorized users also get free memberships — but please don’t try to buy a round for everyone at the bar and ruin it for the rest of us :-). Of course, the restaurant reserves the right to limit / restrict seating at busy times. You can read more about the details on this restaurant in your Priority Pass app or here online. Yelp reviews aren’t stellar, but free food is….free. Will they consider an infant a guest? Hopefully I’ll find out.
While Priority Pass recently removed the Alaska lounges at Seattle, I noted that I was happy to see the continued expansion of restaurants. This latest development continues on that path and those flying through LAX Terminal 2 will likely be happy to see it.

Update — ending on November 30, 2018. See Priority Pass app.
[…] the addition of Barney’s Beanery to your Priority Pass options at LAX, a new restaurant – RJ Rockers Flight Room – is now available at Greenville-Spartanburg […]
As others have said, the staff there are extremely overworked and service is very, very slow as a result. Still if you have a priority pass, you can’t argue with the price.
But I’d still urge people to reconsider: it currently (I passed through on July 25) has a C grade from the health department.
C like they don’t wash their Hands never seen a c that Maybe that’s why their in PP ..Just like Buffet I stay away usually .

Love the site, and Nick – you’re a fantastic contributor but…
This is a new thing?? Barney’s Beanery has been an available PP option for quite some time.
According to the DoC link from the comment above yours, it came in last month. I apologize — apparently the reader who shared it with Greg before Greg forwarded it to me to post here didn’t realize that either, so I’m guessing that many readers who aren’t LAX-based might not know (yet like me, they may find themselves traveling through LAX and be glad to find out about this option). It was news to both Greg and I when we saw it today. Feel free to pass something that that along the next time you notice it before we catch wind – we’re always happy to hear from readers who notice new additions like that.

Did I miss something here? DoC posted this back on June 9th. Not sure why this is “news” almost two months later.

Sounds like you didn’t miss anything at all, sir — obviously I did. As may have a couple of other people who didn’t happen to read Doctor of Credit that day since they were with me at FTU NYC. :-D.
THE Nick Reyes missed something for a month and a half? I don’t believe it. Haha
Not only did I read that post, I met up with a friend from the East Coast at LAX for her 3 hour layover that happened to be in T2. The addition saved her day! We had dinner and drinks and the food was pretty good despite the terrible Yelp reviews.
I’ve went to it twice so far. The food is good. The staff are extremely overworked. I saw several others using their priority pass cards. They had 2-4 servers for the entire restaurant. Both times they had a wait to be seated. If takes 45 min to an hour to get in and out, so if you have a tight connection I’d skip it. But they did not seem upset by the cards being used.
There are some easier ways to get around LAX via the Delta shuttle (right near Barney’s Beanery in T2) and the new enclosed walkway between TBIT and T4 and 5. I arrived TBIT, cleared immigration and connected to American in T5 but still had plenty of time for a non-rushed meal at that restaurant. I went back through immigration in T2 (no Delta flights apparently because I was second in line) and then made it to T5 while staying airside. Meal was good and the $28 meant it was free except for the tip. Well worth the trouble and a good excuse to learn some of the tricks about getting around LAX. Delta shuttle didn’t ask to see a boarding pass.
