Getting an 8% discount on Delta gift cards is a fairly good deal, although do be aware that if you pay for your flight entirely with gift cards, you could be forgoing travel protections depending on what credit card you could otherwise have paid with.

Just FYI, the 1.5% from Citi did not trigger for me last time (10 days ago). It would not hurt to try but the terms states “not for giftcards” so unlikely that will work. Also cashback sites did not trigger anything so likely this is just the 8% which is OK, but nothing fancy. For international trip with family the savings are certainly useful so thanks for posting.
