Dell quietly slipped in a change recently which could be disappointing news for product resellers and/or anyone with Amex Business Platinum credits to burn – they’re no longer selling TVs.
The reason this is notable is because at times you could get a great deal on a new TV for either personal use or reselling. See Extreme Stacking Dell and 20% Cash back at Dell – Great deal on 65″ 4K TV, entry and high-end DSLRs, and more for more complete rundowns, but it would sometimes be possible to stack offers in the following ways:
- $100 Amex Business Platinum twice-annual Dell benefit
- Dell Amex Offer
- Shopping portal cashback
- Coupon
- Promo card (either a Dell eGift card or a Visa gift card)
From what I can tell, this was a no-notice change, so it’ll be particularly disappointing for anyone who’d been waiting for some kind of promo card deal to show up in order to use Dell credits on an Amex Business Platinum card.

Dell just auto cancels any orders I put in.. logged in my account or otherwise.. not sure if this is widespread or just my account…
Burning Dell credits is getting to be really challenging.
Sad, couple of years ago I got 65″ LG OLED for about $850 after what seemed like a quintuple stack (including freeshipping rebate after I canceled the trial).
Lucky me. I just bought two Samsung TV’s from them a week before this discontinuation. I stacked the AMEX Platinum benefit along with using their 10% statement credit on my Blue Business. I’m glad I didn’t wait.
Wow, and just as I needed a few new TVs and was hoping to use my Dell credit account (they would always have 0% interest offers).
Seems like they are axing all products except Dell branded computers. Which are overpriced garbage.
LOL, you haven’t shopped closely enough. I got about $500 off their sale prices during Black Friday on a workstation. A combination of Amex credits and Dell coupons.
I even did the math on the individual components, I’d spend more just trying to build it myself.
PC/laptops is about the only good deal they have. It’s everything else that’s usually overpriced vs. amazon / b&h.
