Any way to use PayPal at a grocery store to stack with the 5X on groceries for the first year offer that has been popping frequently on the Freedom Flex cards?
I’ve been able to get 9X in Q1 and Q2 with the regular grocery category stack and taking advantage of Whole Foods falling under the Amazon bonus. My card anniversary date goes just far enough into January I should be able to get 9X in Q1 next year (if the grocery bonus pattern holds). I’d love to sneak in one more quarter of 9X on gift cards if it can be done!
For Costco
You can buy Costco Gift Cards on costco.com ( you can paid with Mastercard in the online platform), they shipped you free the Gift Card and spend it on Costco.
So 5X in Costco. Easy
someone beat you to it. see below
Since MasterCard works on Costco.com can I buy Costco gift cards and will that trigger 5x?
Yes! That’s what I did the last time Freedom Flex had that category. It sad that PayPal and Wholesale clubs fall in the same quarter. Both are super easy to max out.
Yes. So do you rack up $1500 of costco gift cards in the quarter and spend them throughout the year? P2 and I both have FF cards so that could be $3k in costco GC’s.
Yes that’s correct. We shop regularly at Costco between groceries / household stuff / gas, it’s fair amount of spend. Between P2 and I, have 3 Freedom cards, so that’s gonna be $4500 total. Since this time I’ve the option to use PayPal, I’m gonna use it for organic spend and whatever’s remaining in December, goes to Costco gift cards. Easy 22500 URs.
