Tips & Ideas
If I knew that I’d be near venues where eligible bands/artists were going to be playing this summer, I’d be tempted by this offer as there are several I like on this list including Counting Crows, Smashing Pumpkins, Rob Zombie and Matchbox Twenty. Here’s the list of bands/artists Live Nation has shared ahead of time; note the “And many more” at the end, so it’s worth checking out this offer from 10am even if there aren’t currently many bands you’re interested in listed on here in case there are more you like once the full list goes live.
The offer is listed as being $80 all-in, so this works out to be $20 per ticket which is an even better deal than last year if you’re interested in at least four of these artists. It does say “plus taxes where applicable”, but at least you won’t be on the hook for something dumb like $58.92 in Ticketmaster/Live Nation fees per ticket like normal.
There’s a limit of one $80 4-pack per Rakuten account, so if you and a friend/partner/family member are interested in going together, you’ll want to ensure they have a Rakuten account too. To that end, Rakuten is currently offering $30/3,000 Membership Rewards points when referring a new user and they spend $30 within 90 days. These concert tickets from Live Nation should be eligible, so that would more than cover the $30 they need to spend.
Where is the presale code in the rakuten account?
Go to ‘My Account’ and you’ll see it there.
Thanks for the heads up. Just bought 4 tickets (20 each) to a concert that are selling for $100 each on stubhub. I would go, but my wife is 8.5 months pregnant, so I’ll take the resale profits. Not bad for 5 minutes of work.
What do we have to do to actually see the the offer? I clicked on the event I want to see but not sure what seats need to be selected in order to take advantage of offer.
Is anyone else getting a “503 error” when clicking activate on the offer?
