Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is happening now! Follow us as Greg, Nick, and Stephen compete to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines before November 23rd. Who will complete the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?

Follow along here!

Most Likely Today Only: As found on today’s Frequent Miler’s Portal Alerts, Sears is offering 10 points per dollar through the Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal.  It has been a long time since we’ve seen Sears at 10X through any shopping portal (but 8X and 9X offers are not too rare).

Points earned through the Southwest portal do count towards the Southwest Companion Pass.

Double dip for 20X

Sears allows earning points for buying and using gift cards. So, its possible to go through the portal to buy e-gift cards or, better yet, reload an existing gift card (up to $500) and then go through the portal again to buy merchandise with the gift card.

If your gift card isn’t approved immediately, call 1-888-396-5299 to expedite your gift card order.

Note that double-dipping is good for buying merchandise. If your goal is to buy gift cards, you cannot double-dip.

How often do these Sears deals pop up? I saw an 8x deal yesterday but it’s already gone!

Aaron

I’m curious about any of your experiences using Sears gift cards through portals and still earning miles or cash back at Sears.com. I was just reading the fine print on Ebates and it says “Ebates cannot give cash back for the portion of a purchase that is made with gift cards or certificates.”

Does anyone know for sure if you do or don’t get cash back for using Sears gift cards at Sears.com?

Always nice to stock up on video cards.. I buy $2000 of em and we use them in my IT company. Price is right and we seem to run out of that many between 8&9x deals.. 21x sure is nice! 4/11ths of a companion pass + 40k SW + 2k SPG for basically 0 out of pocket is a pretty blazing deal! Tip ‘o the cap as always my friend!!

When I got to sears gift card page I see Gift Card Mall ad where I can buy any gift card that gift card mall sells. So, instead of buying a sears gift card, I can buy Lowes gift card for $1,500 and still get 15K miles. I do need to make a big purchase at Lowes, so this would be a nice deal! Any thoughts?

Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards at this time ???

Alex

Any limitation to the number/value of E-gift cards that will earn points? Any reason you couldn’t buy 2 or three $500 gift cards?

Steve

Old post, I know, but I have noticed that when purchasing from a marketplace seller, it takes longer for points to post than when purchasing a product sold by Sears. Have you noticed similar results?

I notice that Southwest is also offering 8x for Kohls. Any recent experience having this work for mailed gift card purchases? Does that old $100 max per order ‘rule’ to get the miles to track still apply?
