Southwest is running a promotion for Cyber Monday that offers 30% off both paid and award travel when using the promo code CYBER30. In contrast to recent Cyber Monday sales, this one is restricted to specific routes but it’s also valid for travel on some of them (like Hawai’i) until late-May. The code will work for bookings made until 11/30/23.
The Deal
- Save 30% when using promo code CYBER30 to book paid and award Southwest flights
- Must book by 11/30/23
- Valid for travel between 1/9/24 – 3/6/24 within the Continental U.S.
- Valid for travel between 1/9/24 – 5/22/24 on international, Hawaii and Puerto Rico routes.

- 30 percent promotion code savings valid for one-way or round trip Wanna Get Away® and Wanna Get Away Plus® fares booked on Southwest.com® from November 27-30, 2023 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “Booking Period”) and flown between January 9-March 6, 2024 for Continental U.S. travel and January 9-May 22, 2024 for international/Hawaii/Puerto Rico travel (the “Travel Period”).
- Travel to international/Hawaii/Puerto Rico blacked out January 11-13, 2024, February 15-18, 2024, and March 7-31, 2024.
- Travel from international/Hawaii/Puerto Rico blacked out January 15-16, 2024, February 23-27, 2024, and March 14-April 7, 2024.
- Promotion code savings are applied before government taxes and fees.
- Seats and days are limited. If you have entered the promotion code CYBER30 in the Promo Code box on Southwest.com or swabiz.com during the Booking Period, then while selecting your flights, savings in the base fare will be visible as a strike-through of the original fare on eligible flights.
- Discount availability may vary by destination, flight, and day of week, and won’t be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods.
Quick Thoughts
The CYBER30 promo code is valid for both paid and award flights and, although there are some route restrictions, there doesn’t seem to be many blackout dates outside of international routes.
There are some good savings available if you’re in the market for Spring travel. For example, if flying from Dallas to Grand Cayman, a Wanna Get Away fare on January 15th would previously have cost $200, but using the promo code drops that to $151 (it’s less than 30% because of the increased taxes on flights to the Cayman Islands that aren’t discounted):
The promo code also drops the points price from 13,612 Rapid Rewards to 9,529.
You have to book by November 30th in order to take advantage of the promo code. These sales can get pretty hammered in the first couple of days, so it’s probably worth booking sooner than later if there’s a particular destination you’re looking for, especially given Southwest’s liberal change/cancellation policies.
