The Southwest Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal is offering improved bonuses on a number of stores today. Staples 6X will be particularly interesting to some since you can pay with a Chase Ink card to get an additional 5 points per dollar, for a total of 11 points per dollar at Staples!
Here are some of the bonus offers I found today via the Southwest portal:

- Global Wine Cellars 18X
- JC Penney 9X
- Neiman Marcus 12X
- SnapFish 21X
- Staples 6X
Notes:
- You do not need to pay with a Southwest credit card to get bonus points from the portal
- Points earned do count towards the Southwest Companion Pass
- Don’t forget that both Discover and Freedom cards are offering 5X this quarter for online merchants (Discover) and department stores (Freedom).
- Staples no longer pays out portal points for gift card purchases.
- I launched an experiment last month to see if Back Country would pay out portal rewards for gift card purchases. So far, no points are pending so it’s looking very unlikely.
