Google Express has sent out an email with a coupon good for 20% off when you place an order through the new app (for either Apple or Android). This is a targeted, personalized coupon code, though Doctor of Credit reports that it seems to have gone out to anyone who has used Google Express before.

Quick Thoughts
The subject line of my email said, “20% off with the app (up to $20 savings)“. This deal is great because it stacks nicely with a current (targeted) Amex Offer for $20 back on $50 or more that is good through 12/28/17.
Assuming you check out via the app with an Amex card loaded with that offer, you could get 20% off now and $20 back later from Amex for a total of $40 off/back on $100. That could be a nice savings on a last-minute gift.
Note that gift cards are excluded and the terms indicate that you may have to remove them from your cart in order to apply the coupon. And don’t forget that Google isn’t very good at math (See: Recovering from my Google Express fail).
Savings at Google Express for First Time Shoppers
If this is your first time shopping at Google Express, you can get either $10 off your first order of $10 or more, or 20% off, with a max savings of $30. I’m not sure if these discounts will stack with the email code, but I don’t think either will stack with it — in fact, if you’re new to Google Express, I imagine you didn’t receive the targeted email. If you’re ordering something that is more than $100, the 20% off code below is even better than the email offer. Neither works with gift card orders.
