Update: It looks like I got this one wrong. The promotion is not for making a purchase via the app exactly but rather you have to scan the wallet feature in the Target app in-store according to the Target press release. This apparently requires an in-store visit. Thanks to reader Jay for the link to the press release. I’m re-publishing here for readers to see the update.
On Friday, 11/23 only, Target will be having a second promotion to pick up a great coupon: make any purchase via the Target app (min = $0.01) on Friday, 11/23 and get a coupon good for 20% off (no max) valid from 11/27/18 to 12/8/18. We previously reported on the ability to earn a similar coupon by spending $50 or more in-store tomorrow, but this is a much better deal since there is no minimum purchase and you can do it in your PJs without fighting the crowds.
The Deal
- Make any app purchase tomorrow, 11/23/18, and earn a one-time use coupon good for 20% off with no max savings that is calid from 11/27 to 12/8/18
Key Terms
- Min purchase of $0.01 in app on 11/23/2018
- 20% off coupon valid 11/27/18 to 12/8/2018
- Coupon availability limited
- Coupon is single use
Quick Thoughts
As noted above, this is a great opportunity since you can do this deal from home and it has no minimum purchase required. I will definitely take advantage of this one. Note that it says coupon availability will be limited. I’d get on this one ASAP as it may well get pulled early.
Keep in mind that the 20% off coupon will likely exclude Apple products, gift cards, and some other electronics. It should still be possible to get a great deal, even if just on groceries.
Make sure you’re using the Best credit cards for Black Friday deals. We’ve added this to our running list of Black Friday Deals.

I bought a $50 Target gift card online (mailed to me variety, not e-gift card) & immediately received the 20% off coupon via email. Exclusions, of course, prevent me from buying a new gift card at 20% off but nothing saying I can’t use the gift card I just purchased towards the new 20% off purchase. SOooooo easy, don’t have to go in-store for coupon or to redeem it (or the gift card). Thanks for info!
[…] Target: Any app purchase to get 20% off coupon (11/23 only): Updated — must go to the store for this one. […]
This article is incorrect.
You have to scan the Target Wallet barcode (in the Target app) **IN STORE** at a register tomorrow (any purchase amount).
Alternatively you can spend $50 in store or online.
