There’s a new Chase Offer out giving 10% back on Target purchases. This is valid both online and in-store and, in addition to regular Target purchases, can be used to buy gift cards for all kinds of brands or to save on travel.
The Deal
- Get 10% back as a statement credit with a Target Chase Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires February 11, 2024.
- Maximum $12 back.
- Offer valid one time only.
- Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
- Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later).
Quick Thoughts
For many people, spending $120 at Target will require little effort. Even if you don’t need anything at Target though, it’s still easy to make good use of this offer.
That’s because Target sells third party gift cards both online and in-store. You can therefore buy up to $120 of gift cards to lock in the discount which includes travel brands like Disney, Airbnb, Delta, Southwest, Uber and Chevron/Texaco (via Choice Pack & Go gift cards), as well as all kinds of other brands like Apple, Uber, DoorDash and eBay, not to mention Visa and Mastercard gift cards.
Be sure to check your Target Circle account too. They often have spending promos such as ‘Spend $150 in qualifying purchases to earn $15 in Target Circle earnings’. Gift card purchases trigger those promotions, so you could get $12 back from the Chase Offer as well as the Target Circle earnings if spending enough.
Seeing as this is a Chase Offer, you can load it to every card for which you’re targeted and redeem it on each one.
I don’t use many Chase offers but saw this last night and had it on 5 of my ~10 cards (P1, P2, Biz). P2 has a RedCard but this gets another 5%.
No target offers on 12 chase cards but a bunch of Walmart offers….15% on one of my SW cards
Will this same trick work for 3rd party giftcards from Walmart? I have 15% off coupons for Walmart, so if it works then that is a better deal for Ebay gift cards.
It should work. There are occasional reports from people who haven’t gotten a statement credit from the Walmart Chase Offer, but many reports from people who have.
Thanks. Also just saw that I have a 20% amex offer. Will that work too?
It should do, but be sure to check the terms. There was an Amex Offer late last year for Walmart Business and another for Walmart+, but if the 20% one is just for Walmart.com then that should work.
