Uber is offering a very nice discount for using Android Pay.
The Offer
Get 50% off your next 10 rides with Android Pay now through 10/15.
How it Works
- Pay with Android Pay when requesting a ride through Uber.
- No need to apply a code.
- 50% discount is limited to $5 per ride up to 10 rides.
- If you don’t have Android Pay, download the app to setup your account ahead of time.
You can find the full details of the offer in the Uber app in the “Payment” section under “Unlock Ride Discounts”.

Uber | You will receive $5 towards your first ride if you use my link. | Use to call up cars “on demand” from your smart phone via the Uber app. Trip is automatically charged to your credit card. If you go with UberX (default option) prices tend to be much cheaper than taxis. |
What does it mean when the screen prompts “There are no accepted cards available for use with this merchant.” when I selected Android Pay under Payment in Uber app.? I have tried using my OCBC, POSB and Standard Chartered credit cards but it still prompted the same message.
Is the discount appied immediately or after we ride? I didn’t see any $5 off my invoice after the ride? Should I contact uber?
You have to verify your androidpay account as soon as you do that. It will appear on uber. I was having the same problem and I thought I did verify, but when I went back to ap it was saying I had to verify account.
[…] 50% Off 10 Uber Rides with Android Pay (Up to $5 Per Ride) […]
I have the discount option but the Uber App will not accept my password and allow me to use it.
I have android pay, I have the details for the 50% off in my uber app. But I can’t figure out HOW to pay with android pay via the app. If I choose a payment method, it just asks which CC I want to use. Do I just use the CC that is attached to android pay? There’s no actual option to pay with android pay in the uber app.
Is this promotion valid worldwide?
[…] Hat tip to frequentmiler […]
Not working for me. I don’t see any promotion or way to pay with Android pay.
I see nothing. Only thing close is an option to pay with Google Wallet. It then says its invalid and if I want to use android pay I need to update the app. There is no update on the Play Store. 🙁
This discount is not showing up in my app. All I get is my 10th ride free 🙁
Damn this would’ve been useful this past weekend
