Valentine’s Day is coming soon and so it’s time for the annual floral offers to bloom. United Mileage Plus has a new offer of 30x United Miles on all Teleflora purchases through the UMP Shopping Portal. Combine it with an Amex offer for $20 off of a $35 Teleflora purchase and it might be reason enough to put the “petal” to the metal.
The Deal
- United Mileage Plus offering 30x on Teleflora purchases until 2/14.
- Stack an almost universally available Amex Offer for $20 off $35 (up to ten times)
- There are quite a few additional coupons floating around on the interwebs that give an additional 15-20% off. There aren’t any terms on the UMP portal offer that prohibit using additional coupons and they have stacked in the past. YMMV.
Quick Thoughts
There are several versions of this offer that come out around Valentine’s Day each year. This is a decent one. Sites like these are usually overpriced when compared to going through a local florist, but this might be worth a look.
The arrangements at Teleflora start at $29.99. There is also a delivery fee of $18 as well as tax, so let’s say the least expensive order is ~$50, or $30 after the Amex offer. You’ll end up with 1500 United Miles (at 30X) and a $30 bouquet. The AMEX offer effectively takes off the delivery fee and then you get the 30X United Miles with free delivery on any order…not a bad deal. If you find a coupon (and it stacks) that would take another $7-10 off. The AMEX offer can be repeated up to 10 times, the UMP offer is unlimited
Note that Teleflora does give you the option to pick your preferred Teleflora partner during checkout, but options can be limited and the minimum order is $50.
Strictly from a mileage earning perspective, this is probably a pass. If you’re getting flowers for someone anyway, it’s absolutely worth taking a look at.

Thanks for the H/T,
I also was just targeted with a Paypal $5 off $50+ Teleflora offer. Amex offers have been frequently posting when using Paypal to check out (though not guaranteed). This $5 off $50 excludes taxes and fees, so you’d have to buy a more expensive bouquet, but doesn’t that special someone deserve it anyway?!
