Apple will like be the most popular gift card redemption available. With this deal, you’ll pay 2,125 Citi Thank You points for a $25 Apple gift card. That’s a value of about 1.17c per point, which is well below our Reasonable Redemption Value of 1.5c per point for Citi Thank You points. I personally wouldn’t be interested in redeeming points for such low value, particularly since using gift cards means giving up credit card purchase protections. However, if you have a boatload of Citi points and no plans to use them to travel and/or you really need a product you can buy with the gift cards, maybe this will make sense.
