Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy is running a generous promotion at the moment which is awarding 25,000 bonus points on packages including a stay of four nights or more. While it’s not worth a mattress run, it will be worth checking out package prices if you were planning on booking a paid stay of that length.

Quick Thoughts
25,000 bonus points is a generous return, but note that this offer applies to stays booked through Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy rather than stays booked on their regular website. That means that in addition to a 4+ night stay, you also have to include a car rental and/or flights.
That will inevitably bump up the overall price, but if you were planning on paying for flights or a rental car anyway in addition to a paid stay, this could certainly be worth it. Just be sure to also price out the stay and rental car or flights out separately in case that would result in a lower price in excess of the value of the 25,000 bonus points.
I was curious how Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy works as it’s different to their The Marriott Vacation Clubs brand. Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy is run on the backend by Expedia. Despite that, it doesn’t look like bookings are regarded as an OTA (Online Travel Agency) booking as you do earn points and elite night credits on your stays. That presumably means you also receive elite status benefits, although I haven’t been able to get confirmation from Marriott about that despite both calling them and DMing MBonvoyAssist on Twitter.
In terms of how many points you’ll earn, that’s not specified either. However, it appears that you’ll earn points in line with the points you’d normally earn for whichever Marriott brand you book (i.e. 10 points per dollar for most Marriott brands and 5 points per dollar for Four Points Express by Sheraton, City Express, Element, Protea Hotels, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites.)
With Vacations by Marriott Bonvoy being run by the Expedia Group, I suspect that you won’t earn bonus points on these packages when paying with a Marriott credit card, but less us know if that’s not the case.
