We reported a few weeks ago on the fact that Wyndham Rewards is offering a number of Minor League Baseball experiences using Wyndham Rewards points. This week, they launched a new offer to get tickets to Marvel-themed nights at a number of minor league ballparks for just 1,500 points. That’s probably a decent deal in some cases and makes for a unique use of your Wyndham points (or keep in mind that points transfer to Wyndham Rewards 1:1 from a couple of different transferable currencies).
The Deal
- Wyndham Rewards is offering ticket packages to select Marvel-themed Minor League Baseball game nights for 1,500 Wyndham Rewards points
- Direct link to this deal
Key Terms
- Regular price is 2,500 points, but a discount of 1,000 points will be applied at checkout to qualifying games (noted with red text above) through 4/13/24
- Packages all appear to include two tickets, but double check the details on your chosen event
Quick Thoughts
It looks like many Minor League Baseball teams offer a Marvel Superhero-themed night (some call it “Defenders of the Diamond” night) where it looks like the kids can get pictures with some of their favorite superheroes.
Each package I checked just includes two tickets to the game. Note that the “regular” price is 2,500 Wyndham Rewards points, but through 4/13/24, you should see a 1,000-point discount reflected at checkout. Whether two tickets to a minor league game is a deal for 1,500 Wyndham Rewards points probably varies considerably. My closest team (which isn’t available via Wyndham Rewards for the Defenders of the Diamond promotion, but has been for other games) sells tickets for about $10-$25 to their games. Years ago, we had a single-A minor league team and many nights throughout the year were free (sponsored by local businesses). All that is to say that you should check on the cost of two tickets before you redeem points, but this should yield well over 1c per point for two tickets in most situations, which is a good target for Wyndham redemptions.
I mean…even the regular deals for the Brooklyn team come out to about 1.5-2.0 cpp. That’s not bad. I’ll think about this.
Please blow your points on this garbage, so that the rest of us might get better hotel deals.
