Australia isn’t expected to open to foreign visitors any time soon, and Americans will likely wait longer than most to be welcomed back Down Under. What I’ve Learned Working Remotely This Week
Has a combination of working from home and your natural wanderlust led you to 2020 dreams of just packing up your laptops and renting a cabin in the woods to get away from it all for a change of scenery without wasting a week of vacation time? Not really intentionally, but she brings a dose of reality for those newly working from home regarding the portability of their situation (or lack thereof). I won’t lie, my wife and I have been talking about doing this (or buying an RV to be able to accomplish the same feat on demand), but I think that deep down we both know that it’s harder than it sounds (and that’s coming from two people who have both worked from home for more than a decade). At the very least, I think Becky makes some excellent points about considering the type of place to rent and the length of your stay if you’re tempted.

Caution: You May Not Be Searching For American Express FHR Properties Correctly
This story from Traveling for Miles boils down to pretty simple advice: if at first you don’t find what you’re looking for, make sure you’ve searched it every way possible. I love Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts but have long found its search tool kind of annoying to use. Keep in mind that you can keep searches pretty broad (i.e. searching for “Vermont” instead of a city name), which might make it easier to find all of your options.
