Costco is once again offering a $100 inKind gift card for $69.99. This could be a good deal if you have upcoming plans to dine at an inKind restaurant. You can also get 20% back on all food and beverage, though that doesn’t stack with gift cards.

Quick Thoughts

inKind has had a number of Amex Offers and other discounts over the past couple of years. I ignored it for a while, but then finally signed up and have enjoyed the couple of chances I’ve had to use it.

For those unaware, inKind is a payment app. Participating restaurants allow you to settle your restaurant tab within the app, eliminating the need to give your credit card to the server (and wait for them to return with it). I was skeptical as to how useful this would be, but I’ve used it a several times now and found it easy to use and convenient to simply type the check number into the app and settle the bill without any wait time.

The drawback is of course that you’re limited to the restaurants that offer the ability to pay via inKind. They certainly aren’t everywhere, though the footprint seems to be growing. Nick used it at Chef José Andrés’s Jaleo DC and Michelin-starred Grammercy Tavern in New York City and I’ve been able to use it at several well-regarded spots in Seattle.

InKind is amazing for me. Mostly all quality places, and i’m essentially getting at least 45% off at any place I go to. I travel a lot, and not having to look for a good place is massive for me. And then i’m getting 45% off when i go there. And then they often have $50 off of $150 deals. So i added 2k, got a 45% bonus, so my balance was $2.9k. Then I get $50 off $150 (last night). So, this is epic!

So cash stacks w the deals? I’ve used inkind but I’ve never bought/used inkind cash

I got them for $60 recently at Costco. I wouldn’t get this deal, personally. IK sometimes offers much better offers through their app. If you are a foodie in a large city, Inkind is incredible. Last year, I got an offer for a 82% bonus for buying $8K. I got it, and split with friends. I wish I kept it all to myself.

Beware the order page is full of complaints that the gift card codes do not work.

What stacks work with Inkind, Resy, Franki, Rewards Network?

Barb T.

The Inkind gift cards were initially a very good deal at Costco. Then they raised the price to $79.99 for a $100 card (just as expensive as Uber and DoorDash). The restaurant selections are still limited in many places. I think that Inkind should adjust their price point with Costco sales. $69.99 isn’t bad, but I’ve paid lower than that— $60 to $65–for a 100 dollar value.
