Best Western has brought back a popular promotion they ran last year with any Best Western in the US or Canada available for 10K (or fewer) Best Western points per night from November 15th to January 15th, but unfortunately it is only valid Sunday through Thursday nights (and there are some blackout dates). That means you will not be able to get that rate on Fri/Sat nights for weekend trips, which is a bummer. Still, if you actually have Best Western points, this can represent a deal in expensive cities.
The Deal
- Get a free night at any Best Western in North America for 10K Best Western Rewards points (or fewer) per night on Sunday through Thursday nights from November 15, 2018 to January 15, 2019
- Direct link to this promotion
Key Terms
- Not valid for Friday or Saturday nights
- Not valid at Best Western Branded properties in Mexico
- Not valid for stays on November 22, 2018, December 24, 2018, December 25, 2018, December 31, 2018, January 1, 2019
- In conjunction with the promo, you can buy up to 5K points at a rate of $10 per 1K
Quick Thoughts
It’s a bummer that this isn’t valid on weekend nights, but it could still come in handy if you’re going somewhere during the week and have the points to use. If you don’t have Best Western points, you can buy up to 5K for $10 per 1K points ($50 for 5K points). Accounts at the same physical address can combine points and free night certificates can be gifted to others, so with some teamwork you could put together a multi-night stay for $100 a night. That wouldn’t be a deal at all Best Western properties, but certainly would be in more expensive cities like New York or San Francisco or potentially for an airport overnight.
Note that this one is only valid at properties in the US and Canada, though it notes that it includes the Caribbean. I assume that means any Best Western locations in Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands are participating, but I wouldn’t expect other Caribbean locations to be included.
