Secret Flying has reported a terrific fare between Miami and Seattle at just $135 round trip on select dates in either direction (mostly weekdays) from August to November 2018. These flights are on United and they are not basic economy. Furthermore, if you have the Chase Ritz-Carlton Visa Infinite or the CNB Crystal Visa Infinite, you can score a deeper discount when buying tickets for 2 as those cards come with a $100 discount on 2 or more round trip tickets booked through their respective portals and these flights are eligible.

Secret Flying has example dates, though it looks like it is mostly valid on Monday-Tuesday-Wednesdays in either direction. Note that while you can find these prices through Google Flights, I had to select dates (the calendar view did not initially show the $136 pricing above).

These should be bookable via OTAs like Priceline, Expedia, etc. As noted above, these flights are also available via the Visa Infintie Discount Air program, which is only available on the Chase Ritz-Carlton card (portal link here) and the CNB Crystal Visa Infinite (portal link here) in the US. When I put in the flights/dates above, the Ritz portal returned the same fare. After the $100 discount for booking 2 passengers, this was my total:

As you can see, that’s $171.20 for two passengers — or just $85.60 per person. Round trip.

As a reminder, that discount is repeatable on the Ritz card. If you fly with a partner regularly, you can take advantage of that again and again.

See the Secret Flying post for more example dates.

This indeed would have been a great deal…. — but I haven’t seen anything anywhere close since noon? Is this dead already? Still seeing some decent AA flight quotes on this route — though still twice what the United pricing supposedly once was. (United r/t flights now over $500) Or am I missing something?
