Iberia’s low-cost-carrier LEVEL is offering a pretty amazing basic economy fare from Boston to Barcelona: $183 round trip nonstop.  These fares are available in January and February and again in October.

The Deal

  • LEVEL is offering cheap basic economy flights from Boston to Barcelona for $84 and from Barcelona to Boston for $100.
  • Direct link to Google flights

Key Details

  • Only available on select dates in January, February, and October 2020

Quick Thoughts

While January and February aren’t the best time to visit Barcelona, the weather is more mild than it is in the Northeast of the US (I once spent about 3 weeks there in January and it was comfortable enough). On the other hand, average highs in October are in the 70’s, so next October might be a great time to go.

As is frequently the case with LEVEL sales, the best fares are actually a combination of separate tickets. You can fly from Boston to Barcelona for just $84. The return flight is $100.

As these are basic economy tickets, they do not include seat selection or checked bags. That said, they do include one carry-on item.

Since these fares work one-way, these could also be a good opportunity to pair an award flight one way with a cheap paid flight in the other direction. If you can travel light, these are an awfully cheap way to get across the pond. I’m not sure if any of the 5 Euro Ryanair fares from our Cyber Monday Master Deals post are still available, but if they are you may be able to pair the January/February fares with those for a really cheap trip to a few European cities.
