Google Express is offering 20% off on electronics with coupon code WISH20. That code is good for up to $500 off on a single order (i.e. max order of $2500). That could be great if you’re looking for a discount on expensive / rarely-discounted electronics from Apple, Nintendo, etc. The only annoying thing is that you have to enter all of your billing information before entering a promo code if you want to test it. Keep in mind that this deal expires November 2, 2018, but may be pulled sooner.

Quick Thoughts

This promotion could be a great deal on some items, especially those which are rarely discounted. On the other hand, you’re sacrificing portal rewards / cash back, so be sure that you’re getting a deal you couldn’t replicate elsewhere (or beat). I think this one is likely most useful on very expensive items that wouldn’t normally see such a high discount. Keep in mind the exclusions by store. For example, Target excludes Apple products. However, other stores do not — Google was showing a pair of Airpods as the first example on the promo page when I looked (sold by 6ave Electronics).

My frustration with this promo is that you can’t see if a product is eligible until the final part of the checkout process — you need to enter your delivery and credit card information and can only test a promo code on the final part of checkout before hitting “place order”. I tried adding a couple of Canon cameras to my bag from Buy Dig and apparently neither was eligible for this promotion.

Still, you might score a good deal with eligible items. Also keep in mind that holiday return policies are beginning to come into effect today, so you may be eligible for an extended return window into January from some retailers — which would give you plenty of time to continue to shop around for a better deal.
