Costco is offering a discount on iTunes Gift Cards which provides up to 17.5% off the face value. This should be stackable with the $50 back on $250 promo via Visa Checkout that we covered earlier (See: $50 back on $250 at Costco with Visa Checkout).
The Deal
- Costco.com is offering discounts on iTunes eGift Cards as follows:
Key Terms
- Limit of 2 per member per denomination
- Prices valid through 3/31/18
Quick Thoughts
The discounts on these cards are good enough to make them a possible reselling opportunity depending on your relationships. At the very least, you can get a nice discount if you regularly buy content from iTunes. Further, these discounts should be stackable with the offer we posted earlier for a $50 statement credit when you spend $250 or more at Costco and pay with a Visa card via Visa Checkout. If you were to buy one $200 card and a $100 card, your total would be $249.48. Another small filler item and you’d be able to get an additional $50 back, making your net cost around $200 for $300 in gift cards and your filler item. That’s a great deal on iTunes cards. Since the $50 back on $250 promotion does not explicitly exclude gift cards, I expect this would work.
These are slated to be on sale through 3/31/18, but it’s certainly possible that they may sell out sooner. Keep in mind that the $50 back on $250 promo is valid through 3/28, but may also be pulled sooner.
H/T: Miles to Memories
Will the $200 Itunes Apples Card ever going to restock on costco anymore?
The Visa Checkout deal is already dead (or on pause). Offer was removed from Costco’s home page at 3pm PDT. On many browsers the offer page says “offer is no longer available” in large letters. They have also completely revised the terms and conditions on some versions of that page including a different date range (through the 30th instead of 28th) and stating that you need to have at least $250 of merchandise in your cart (a hint that cash cards won’t be allowed).
Hmm, hopefully someone had a copy of the terms and conditions before the change. I should have done it need but didn’t think of it. I bought cash cards early this morning so hopefully they’ll still issue the credit for those who purchased before the T&C change.
You can use iTunes to pay for your Netflix subscription.
I’ve wondered this myself. My only problem is I don’t own anything apple. I haven’t signed up for a Netflix yet but I’d love to find a way to do it while saving over 10% every month from iTunes gc.
