Ebates has temporarily increased the payout rate for American Express gift cards to 2% through their mobile app. This increased payout works for both business and personal American Express gift cards and is good for today only.

May not work on all devices
In the past few months when Ebates has offered the same promotion, the deal hasn’t worked on some devices (I suspect this was limited to Android devices, but I’m not 100% sure). These devices showed a message stating that “Mobile purchases do not track”. If you see a “does not track” message, then your device is not eligible to purchase the cards through the app.
iPhone and iPad devices have worked fine.
Notes
- Do not use a promo code to reduce gift card fees or for free shipping since that will invalidate your cash back (the Premium Shipping Plan is fine, though).
- Do not buy denominations higher than $2,000 (see: $2K denomination limit on Amex gift card cash back)

I brought 3 @ $2000 each GC last week and received it yesterday. I used the promo code to reduce all GC fees to zero and paid only shipping. And I found the cash back still show up on “Topcashback.com” ( Total $90 – 1.5% x $2000 X 3). Status show as pending, hope it will stay.
I plan to sign up for the 3 months free shipping trail and use Plastiq to pay for my rent ( over
$4000 monthly in CA). Last night, I receive email from Plastiq said the first payment to my landlord was processed and sent electronically as scheduled. Plastiq never asked me to verify any additional information. I am on my way to earn over 50,000 points. So far so good. 🙂
** I may use Ebates App to buy more AMEX GC today to take advantage the 2.0% rebates.
Plastiq is good so you don’t have to mess with red bird. Do you have Redbird though? You can save on plastique fees
I can’t find any store sell Redbird here and I don’t want to deal with MS with Redbird.

Yeah there is a dude that can get you a card. I just got one. He gets them for alot of people and legit. But yes, easier than dealing with it!

I could only get business amex cards to come up–anyone get to the consumer cards?
App works for my Android Moto X and my Android Nexus tablet, but stalls at choosing the method of payment. When I logged into my AMEX account to utilize the free one day shipping, even though the app is logged into the AMEX website, it won’t allow me to enter a new card and stays stuck on the default AMEX card I have associated on my account. Will try to go through as a guest and pay the $9 one day shipping fee though, but hate that the app doesn’t work properly.
I don’t have my spg card yet but I have another Amex. Should I buy one gc at 2k so I can solely grt the 2% back?
That depends on you. How easily can you use up the gift card? Is it worth the trouble to earn $40 minus shipping and fees?
