Through 9/26, Rite-aid is running a promotion giving 500 Plenti points ($5) with the purchase of 2 Vanilla Visa gift cards. (Limit 2) Many Rite-aid stores accept Apple Pay, so it may be possible to stack this promotion with Discover’s “Deal of the Year“.
Greg the Frequent Miler was able to confirm that purchasing two of these gift cards with Apple Pay did earn the 500 Plenti points as advertised.

Yes
How does everyone feel about buying GC’s w/ an Amex CC when Plenti is involved? Is it an analogue to L3 reporting?
I doubt it makes any difference whatsoever
FM–Is there any data one way or the other on whether using Discover card through the Apple Pay system will earn 10% cash back on GCs from now until Dec. 31 (and later doubled)?
No data yet. No news is good news in my opinion
Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to game Plenti points?
Can load the Vanilla visa to Serve through Family General instead of 49.99 through WM?
Thanks
James
James–I think you’re thinking of Family Dollar, and yes you can load Serve card at those stores. However, I have read of problems in trying to load more than $500 per store per day. Question: What do you mean by 49.99 through Walmart?
I thought I read that Vanilla GCs can’t be loaded to serve at FD or WM? Can someone confirm if this is possible?
Vanilla GCs can be used at FD, but not at WM.
Can we sign up for a Plenti account at the time of purchase?
Yes.
