Hilton is offering a nice bonus for booking through their app and paying with a Visa.
The Offer
Earn 5,000 Bonus Points when you register then book in the Hilton HHonors app and pay for your stay between November 1, 2016 – January 31, 2017 with your Visa card.
Key Terms
Offer is valid from November 1, 2016 to January 31, 2017 for Visa® cardholders who are also Hilton HHonors Members who:
- Register for the promotion at HiltonHHonors.com/VisaBonus
- Download the HHonors mobile application to the cardholder’s mobile device
- Book a stay through the HHonors mobile application
- And pay for the completed stay between November 1, 2016 and January 31, 2017 (“Promotional Period”) with any Visa card will receive 5,000 Hilton HHonors™ Bonus Points per eligible stay.
Bonus Points earned on Base Points do not count toward Elite tier qualification. Please allow six to eight weeks from completion of the eligible stay for Bonus Points to appear in your Hilton HHonors™ account. It doesn’t say on the T&C if I do back to back stay at a Hilton qualifies me for two 5000 points bonus. I will check out of my first stay, then check in immediately at the same hotel. Would that give me (two) 5000 bonus points? My experience with other promotions is that I have to either stay at different Hotels or wait 1 day before I check into the same hotel. However, this promotion doesn’t really exclude back to back stay at the same hotel in the T&C.
Interesting. Of course you won’t really know until you see the points post or not. Anybody have any idea how quickly the points are posting? Given that there’s a requirement that you booked the hotel via the mobile app which VISA wouldn’t know, obviously this promo is being done with full knowledge of the details over at Hilton, which suggests it’ll probably be identical to past promotions, e.g. two back-to-back stays at the same hotel will get merged. But we’ll see.
