Bill payment service Plastiq has now added the ability to pay your bills with a Discover Card.
Need to Know
- You can pay any bill with a Discover that you can otherwise pay through Plastiq.
- The fee is 2.5% which is the standard rate for Plastiq
- The Discover it Miles card earns 3% cashback the first year which would make bill payments with the card profitable. (You get 1.5% up front and it is doubled at the end of the first year.)

Discover says their card holders get 1% back (not 1.5%) and at year end, another 1% but with a limit of only $1500 in charges per quarter. Where do you have it in writing that it’s 1.5% back plus a match at yr end?
