So all the comments dating to January, 2017, seem to indicate this is either last year’s offer repeated or last year’s post recycled or both. Some other reason I didn’t notice?
I’m not sure what you mean. This IS an old post. Did it get re-posted somewhere?
Seems so. Got Shawn Coomer’s mugshot and byline. Russian interference in US travel hacking? Now they’ve gone too far.
What I mean is: where did you see this post resurface? Was it sent to you via email? Twitter? RSS?

Thank you for a great article! Could you please clarify one thing for me? I read earlier today on this website that it is possible to stack different offers for the same card(it was in the article about maximizing the sign up bonus and the example given was with the IHG card). I was wandering if it would be possible for me to stack the two offers I am receiving for the UnitedPlus Explorer Personal card. I got an offer in the mail for 50k after spending 3k in the first 3 months, af is waived the first year. When I do a dummy booking through MileagePlus, I am getting an offer for 40k after spending 2k in the first 3 months, af is waived the first year +$100 statement credit after the first purchase. Is it possible for me to get the 50k points AND the statement credit? If it is, how do I do it?
Probably not, but here’s what you could try:
1) sign up for the 40K + $100 offer, and meet the spend requirement
2) secure message Chase to ask if you can be matched to the 50K targeted offer that you received (give them the offer code)
If you’re lucky, they’ll match you to the 50K offer without taking away the $100 you earned.

I have Offer for United Club card – no bonus miles but annual fee of $450 waived first year.
[…] Targeted United Explorer Card Offers: Up to 75K Miles […]
DP: Targeted; over 5/24; Private Client; rejected. This was the second time since early December 2016 that I’ve been rejected by Chase due to 5/24 despite being Private Client. Both times I asked for reconsideration due to Private Client status and they told that they no longer did that.

i was targeted for the explorer card with a 70000 bonus after a $3000 spend, another 5000 points after adding an authorised user plus a $50 Statement Credit
you are off $1000–the offer is $3000 not $2000 to spend in 3 months!
Have got a united explorer 70K targeted offer but I am way over 5/24 rule?
Can I still apply for this card ?
[…] United Business Mileage 75K offer […]
$450 hahahahahahahaha
to echo others, if targeted, does that provide any leeway in 5/24?
NO.
I got in on this card last year with an 80k targeted offer. I am going to cancel this year though as I have no need for the card after the points are gone.
Just checked and my wife is showing no annual fee but no 75 bonus points.
She was just approved for the card last month – is she able to request to match the annual fee via SM?
Also can she request to match the 75k miles even though she is not targeted for it?
Certainly can’t hurt to ask!
Thanks.
