Best Buy is offering a $250 Delta eGift Card and a $25 Best Buy Gift Card for $250. If you highly value both gift cards, this could be a good deal. If you have Delta airfare to book anyway, and using a gift card won’t prevent you from getting credit card protections, then it probably makes sense to pick up the bonus Best Buy card(s) here.

Quick Thoughts

Again, this might make sense if you highly value both gift cards and/or you can sell one or the other for nearly full value. If you don’t value the Delta gift card at more than 90% of face value, then this one isn’t worth it since the value of the Best Buy gift card wouldn’t be enough to keep you whole.

However, as stated at the top, if you purchase Delta airfare pretty regularly, this might be worth the bonus if the Best Buy gift cards feels more like “gravy”. For instance, if you have a flight to book anyway, then you’ll forgot a few extra points that you could have earned by purchasing the airfare on a card that bonuses travel spend, but the Best Buy gift card is likely worth more than that modest increase in return on spend. I’d say that is true if you’ll use the gift card for part of the airfare and use a card that offers trip cancellation / interruption / delay insurance when you purchase at least part of the trip with your qualifying card (the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, and Ritz-Carlton cards would all fit the bill in that case).
