$30-$60 back on DirecTV with new card-linked offer

5

There is a new card-linked offer out from a number of bank-based card-linked offers (from multiple issuers) that is good for $30 back when you spend $69.98 or more with Directv. If you have any US Bank credit cards, it’s worth checking for this offer on one of those because US Bank will double cash back earned via offers from March 27-30, which means you could get $60 back.

I found the Directv offer on cards from several banks, including US Bank — which will be offering double cash back for those who use offers between March 27-30, 2024.

The Deal

  • Several credit card issuers have a new offer out that’s good for $30 back at Directv when you spend $69.98 or more. I found this offer on my US Bank cards and also on some Chase cards. It also may be available on Bank of America and Wells Fargo cards (YMMV)

Key Terms

  • Earn $30 cash back on your DirectTV purchase when you spend $69.99 or more.
  • Offer valid one time only.
  • Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
  • Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later).
  • Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date.

Quick Thoughts

We recently reported on an Amex Offer for Directv, and that offer is a bit better yet. However, if you’ve already used that offer (or never had it), then these $30 offers could be worthwhile — particularly if you’re able to make multiple qualifying payments before the offers expire.

As noted at the top, we recently reported that US Bank will be doubling cash back earned from their card-linked offers between March 27-30, 2024 — so if you’re able to sync this offer up and use it in that window, you should get $60 back. See this post for more details: US Bank: Double cash back on cash back offers March 27-30, 2024.

The same back-end offers system is shared by multiple banks, including US Bank, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, and numerous other banks. It is therefore worth checking your card-linked offers from other banks as well.

Hi, be careful about which DirecTV is included. Some, like the AMEX one, explicitly exclude DirecTV Stream. Others say “DirecTV Internet or Satellite.” This is actually a different product – this is their “cable bundle” pay format, that is a 2 year contract, etc. Some say just “DirecTV” so I would guess any DirecTV purchase would trigger the credit.

Anyone figure out how to make a one-time payment with DirecTV Stream? I’ve got five of these $30 off offers with Chase but their system seems only to allow regular monthly auto-payments.

Nitpicker

Is Stream even eligible? Mine posts with “stream” in the name.

jjjjdddd

Amex not honoring, shows up as AT&T charge

Yup, I had the same thing. DirecTV is supposedly in the process of switching their billing, but Amex wasn’t having it. They basically said, “Have DirecTV resubmit the payment with the right merchant name.” Yeah, like that’s going to happen.
