I received an email from Chime stating that I would get $5 off any purchase of $50 or more.

I was curious if online orders qualified so I used my Chime card to buy a $50 Whole Foods e-gift card from Staples.  Sure enough, the $5 credit appeared on my Chime account:

Obviously this isn’t a big deal, but it was nice to see a Chime offer that works for everything.

Chime, by the way, is a prepaid debit card that can be reloaded with other debit cards and they frequently offer cash back for various types of purchases. For frequent shoppers, it’s a nice option for occasional savings.  Doctor of Credit has additional details here.
