Amazon has dropped the price of the Bost QuietComfort headphones to just $159.99. I believe that’s an all-time-low for these perennially popular noise-cancelling headphones. There are a couple of potentially stacking pay-with-points promotions. Those eligible for 50% off up to $60 can pay just $99.99 plus tax, which is one of the best deals we’ve ever seen for these.

Quick Thoughts
I believe that the current Amazon price is already at an all-time-low before stacking discounts. These stacking discounts make for a great deal if you’re after these noise-cancelling headphones. As an owner of these headphones, I will admit that the ordinary asking price is unreasonable and that there are better headphones for the money in that price range.
However, at about a hundred bucks if you’re targeted for the $60 Amazon offer, I think the deal becomes much harder to beat. While a trained audiophile will disagree with this statement, to the untrained ear, these sound pretty good, and they do a reasonable job of cancelling out surrounding sounds. For instance, I am typing this post with mine on and I can’t hear the sound of my fingers tapping on the keyboard. I often use mine while working from home to shut out distractions, and I frequently use mine on airplanes. I do switch back and forth with earbuds from time to time.
Battery life on these is excellent in my opinion. They advertise 24 hours of playback time. While I expect that claims like that generally tout a theoretical max under some ideal set of conditions for a brand-new product, that claim doesn’t feel incredibly inflated to me. I certainly don’t track how much playback time I get, and it may not be near 24 hours, but it certainly feels like I get a ton of playback and don’t need to charge frequently.
I personally still have the offer for $60 back at Amazon when using a minimum of 714 Amex Membership Rewards points ($5 worth of points), so I verified that the offer does indeed stack. I was targeted for a lesser Citi offer (30% off up to $30 when using at least 125 points ($1 worth of points). In my opinion, if you’re targeted for any of the pay-with-points discounts, they make for a great deal. Just make sure not to use more points than the minimum necessary to trigger the discount. You definitely do not want to cover the charge entirely with points, as that just isn’t a good deal.
I should note that when this deal began earlier today, it apparently came with $30 worth of digital credit that could be used for things like music/movies/books. Unfortunately, that component of the deal appears to be dead.
It is worth mentioning that, as has been in our Black Friday Deals post since Friday, Dell has these headphones for $199. If you have an Amex Business Platinum card and haven’t used your $150 statement credit benefit for purchases at Dell, that would drop your net out-of-pocket cost to $49.
I expect that this deal will likely run through Cyber Monday, but nobody can know for sure when it will end.

Amazing deal! I just applied 1 MR point and received another $80 off bringing my total to $79.99!
I almost bought these at Costco yesterday (glad I didn’t). just checked the offer and mine was for $80 off and I only used 1 MR point.
It would be worth asking Dell to price match Amazon
why the misleading headline? even if one was targeted for the Amazon promo, odds are it has already been used
Did you find, “after $60 Amazon pay-with-points promotion” to be misleading? I tried to be pretty direct about that so that if you know you’ve already used it, you’ll know that it won’t apply in your case.
I have no idea what the odds are of someone having used that promo or not. I haven’t used it.
I’d also add that there are probably people who haven’t checked to see if they’re eligible for that, the Citi offer, or the Discovery offer. I would bet that there are a lot of readers of this blog to whom one of those offers might apply.
