IHG promo: Earn 3x points at select brands

IHG One Rewards has launched a new promotion offering triple points on stays from July through September. While this is only valid on five of their newest brands, it will stack with another concurrent promotion that awards 2,000 points for every two nights or 8,000 points for every four nights completed at any IHG property.

The Deal

• IHG One Rewards members can pre-register to participate in the promotion through June 30, 2025.

Key Terms

• Members can pre-register for this Promotion starting June 18, 2025 through June 30, 20245 (the “Pre-Registration Period”).
• Members will be able to stay and earn IHG One Rewards bonus points under this Promotion beginning July 1, 2025 and ending on September 30, 2025 (the “Promotion Period”).
• Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period.
• After registering for the Promotion, a member can earn bonus points on qualifying room nights during the Promotion Period at all avid, Atwell, EVEN, voco and/or Garner hotels. This offer is only available for the listed brands above.
• To be a qualifying room night under the Promotion, the room night must fall within the Promotion Period and must be part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay.
• For purposes of this Promotion, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night.
• Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion.
• Bookings made through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion.
• For the 3X Unlimited Promotion, earning “3X” or “3X bonus points” on stays through September 30, 2025 means the total number of regular “base points” and promotional “bonus points” combined will equal three (3) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member.
• For example, under the 3X Unlimited Promotion, for a one-night Qualifying Stay with a room rate of $100.00 at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 = 1,000 points) and an additional 2,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 3,000 points. The promotional bonus points under this Promotion are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for a Qualifying Stay just for being an IHG One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included.

Quick Thoughts

This is the second time that IHG has run this promotion and, before getting too excited, note that it’s only valid at EVEN, Avid, Garner, voco, and Atwell Suites; five of their newest brands.

This promotion will stack with another promo that IHG launched that covers all brands. Triple points from this offer means you’ll earn 30 points per dollar on top of the 2K or 8K bonus points from the other one. If you have status, that’ll earn you additional bonus points, while paying with an IHG credit card will earn you an extra 5x or 10x bonus points, depending on which card you have. All of that could combine to make stays at these five brands quite a bit more appealing during the Summer.
