Just in time for everyone’s 4th of July celebrations, Delta and American Express announced last week that they had added another marginally useful monthly coupon credit to almost the entire portfolio of Delta credit cards.
Until next June, both businesss and personal Delta Reserve and Platinum cardholders will get up to 12 months worth of statement credits for Uber One. Business and consumer Delta Gold cardholders will get up to 6 months.
The Deal
- American Express Delta credit cardholders are now eligible for statement credits of $9.99 per month towards an Uber One membership
- Businesss and personal Delta Reserve and Platinum cardholders will get up to 12 months of Uber One
- Business and consumer Delta Gold cardholders will get up to 6 months of Uber One
- Must enroll for Uber One by 6/25/26
- You must pay for your monthly Uber One membership with your eligible card
- Once you enroll, you’ll get either 12 or 6 months of monthly credits
- Membership will not auto-cancel after credits are used up
- Benefits of Uber One include:
- 6% back on eligible Uber rides (as credit)
- Free delivery on UberEats orders
- 10% off pickup and delivery for UberEats orders
Terms and Conditions
Terms below are for Platinum and Reserve cardholders. The terms for Gold cardholders are the same, except validity is for up to six months of credits instead of twelve.
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum, Platinum Business, Reserve, or Reserve Business American Express Card Members who use the Card to purchase an Uber One membership starting on 6/26/2025 through 6/25/2026 can receive a statement credit for one Uber One membership fee (up to $9.99) on the first membership fee charged to the Card Account each month for up to 12 consecutive months from the date of the first eligible purchase.
- Eligible purchases can be made by both the Basic Card Member and Additional Card Members on the Card Account.
- Offer is available for Uber One memberships and Uber accounts located in the U.S., except in Northern Mariana, American Samoa, Guam and U.S. Virgin Islands, for eligible deliveries or rides in U.S. cities where Uber, Uber Eats, and/or Postmates are available.
- To participate in this offer, you must have downloaded or updated to the latest version of the Uber, Uber Eats, and/or Postmates apps.
- Once the app is downloaded, sign into your existing Uber account or sign up to create a new account. Uber One is a subscription that auto-renews.
- The Uber One Membership Terms and Conditions currently provide that if you purchase a membership, unless you cancel your membership prior to your next billing date, your membership will automatically renew for another membership period (subject to applicable law).
- If you cancel or remove your eligible American Express Card from your Uber or Uber Eats account, you will need to update your payment method for Uber One membership fees to an eligible American Express Card if you wish to continue receiving statement credits related to this offer.
- The offer will still expire 12 months from the date you made your first eligible purchase during the Offer Period. This means that you may receive fewer than 12 statement credits if you cancel the Uber One membership at any time during the Offer Period.
- Cancelling or removing your eligible American Express Card will not automatically cancel your Uber One membership and Uber will continue to collect membership fees
Quick Thoughts
I can tell that I have coupon fatigue. When I first heard about this new Uber One/Delta benefit, my immediate thought was, “not another one.” Although it’s irritating that it officially only lasts for a year, it also doesn’t come attached to any other perk downgrade or fee increase, so this will be a net win for most folks.
Uber One isn’t fabulously valuable on its own, but small discounts and free delivery will be useful for those who use Uber/UberEats with any degree of frequency.
Note that you get either six or twelve months of credits, regardless of when you enroll in Uber (provided it’s before the end of next June). So, the way that I read the terms, if you sign up in December of this year and pay the fee with your Delta Platinum card, you’ll get Uber One credits through December of 2026, even if the promo does indeed end in June.
Be sure to set up a reminder to cancel the membership after the credits end if you don’t want the Uber One membership long-term, otherwise your card will keep getting charged.

I have an Amex Platinum, Amex Gold, and Delta Platinum. There was no way for me to charge the Uber One membership to the Delta Platinum. It mandated that I use my Uber Credits first. When I try to click “switch payment” for my Uber One membership, nothing happens. I think the only way to get it to charge the Delta Platinum would be to first exhaust the Uber Credits.
Might make more sense to sign up for this at the end of the month so you have time to use the Uber Credits first.
So now gotta figure out what is the order of operations to ensure Uber One gets charged to Delta Amex, my first Uber purchase uses my Amex Gold, and somehow also charge something to my United Business to use the rideshare credit.
Looking at the offer page, lots of legalese. My question: can I sign up for Uber One using my Delta card (to get the monthly fee reimbursed) and then use my Platinum card to make purchases (to use the monthly credit)? If I can’t use the combo, no bueno.
