Barclays is targeting some Hawaiian Airlines cardholders with an offer to earn double miles, with up to 1,250 bonus miles on offer per month through the end of November.
The Deal
- Earn double miles on the Hawaiian Airlines credit card.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- This offer is for select cardmembers and is not transferable.
- If your account is closed or you switch to another product during the promotional period, you may no longer be eligible for this promotion.
- If you receive this offer and enroll by 08/31/2025, you will earn double the number of HawaiianMiles for every one dollar ($1) spent in new purchases, less credits, returns, and adjustments (“Net Purchases”), with transaction dates between 08/01/2025 and 11/30/2025, up to a maximum of 1,250 bonus HawaiianMiles per month of the promotional period.
Quick Thoughts
The spending limit for this offer isn’t immense seeing as you’re restricted to earning a maximum of 1,250 bonus miles each month, so an overall maximum of 5,000 bonus miles during the promo period. However, it does make this a compelling option for your day-to-day spending courtesy of its bonus categories.
The Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard normally earns 3x on Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines flights, 2x for groceries, dining and gas, and 1x for everything else. Those categories are all doubled, meaning you’ll earn 6x, 4x and 2x respectively. Earning 4x HawaiianMiles (which can be transferred to your Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account or converted on a 1:1 basis to the new program on October 1) on your grocery spend, when eating out and when filling up at the gas station is a decent earning rate, as is 2x on all otherwise non-bonused spend.
Sure, you might be able to earn more than that by paying with different cards for the different categories or by putting that spend towards the welcome offer on a new card. However, it’s a good all-round earn rate in all those categories and could make a particularly good option if your partner is someone who hates having to remember which card to use for which type of purchase.
Bear in mind that the spending limit will vary depending on if the spending category is bonused. There’s a limit of 1,250 bonus miles per month, but that doesn’t mean it’s valid on up to $1,250 spend. It will be if you’re putting all that spend in a non-bonused category. However, if you’re using the card at grocery stores, restaurants or gas stations exclusively, you’d only need to spend $625 to max it out. If paying for Alaska or Hawaiian flights, you’d max it out when spending $416.67.
If you have any other cards issued by Barclays, keep an eye out for other spending offers. My wife received this on her Hawaiian card and we didn’t get targeted for spending offers on any of our other Barclays cards. However, Barclays does have form for sending out a variety of different types of offer across its range of co-branded cards, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if other targeted promos are landing in inboxes at the moment.

Did anyone get the bonus points for this offer? Or get a screen shot of the details for followup purposes? My P2 got the targeted offer, accepted it, made purchases, but we’re not seeing the bonus miles at the close of the month. I’m wondering if the bonus will show up at the end of November? I’m chatting with Hawaiian customer service right now to see if they can provide any insight.
I just noticed it, it says allow 6-8 weeks for bonus miles to post (not sure of “6-8 weeks” from when?)
I saw this offer and THINK I clicked on it, but can’t find it anywhere on the site anymore. Not having read the small print, I thought this was only for 1x non-bonus category spend that you would get an extra point. That way Barclays has you spending a lot more money. Was also targeted for an offer May-July for 2000 bonus points if you spent $300+/month each month and haven’t seen those bonus points either.
I got the email. But when I click enroll it takes me to an offer for adding an AU ‍♀️
I was targeted and accepted the offer but lost my notice. As I recall there were a number of transactions that were not included in the pigeon print one of which was transactions put through remote devices like you might find in restaurants.
Does anyone know where to get the terms with the pigeon print terms?
Has anybody gotten their bonus miles postedyet for the last spend promo that Barclays/Hawaiian had? The one where if you spent $250 (in total or with five purchases), you’d get 2500 bonus miles?
AFAWK no business cards are targeted, yes?
No offer for me on my brand new card but not shocked since it’s targeted. What is strange is that I seem to be earning 3x on random purchases at certain grocery stores.
DP: I have the HA card and no offer received
Definitely targeted – My DH got the offer, I didn’t.
Confused on earnings. If Alaska and Hawaiian airlines are 6x, then the spend should only be $208.33?
The card normally earns 3x for those flight purchases, so this offer is giving an additional 3x bonus miles. The 1,250 bonus miles calculation is therefore done based on that additional 3x rather than the full 6x.
4x Alaska > 3x Chase for dining! [especially if you have enough chase pts and hyatt]
Does one ever have enough Chase and Hyatt points? UR (and by extension WOH) points are the currency I burn quicker than any other.
definitely targeted….0 for 2
Yeah P1 and P2 both have the card. Pretty happy to put spend on these cards, especially category bonuses.
