Alaska Atmos Business card 85K offer

When the new Alaska Atmos Ascent and Atmos Business credit cards launched, the initial welcome offers we saw were to earn 80,000 Atmos Rewards points after meeting minimum spending requirements on each of them. We have since updated that initial post to indicate that there is an 85K offer available on the Ascent card. Last week, we also saw the launch of a new 85K offer on the business version of the card.

This is just a 5K bump over the initial opening offer, but it remains a great offer for those trying to collect as many Alaska Atmos points as possible. A side benefit here is that a Bank of America business credit card would not add to one’s 5/24 count, which might be an advantage over consumer cards for those trying to limit consumer card applications.

While I would normally recommend focusing first on earning transferable points before airline-specific points/miles, Alaska is a potential exception. It is not easy to accumulate Alaska Atmos points since the only transferable currency with which they partner is Bilt Rewards (which aren’t very easy to earn en masse either).

Keep in mind that for the time being there are quite a number of Atmos-related credit cards on the market. At the time of writing, the Hawaiian Airlines credit cards are also still available (and Hawaiian also earns Atmos points now), so it is currently possible to rack up a lot of Alaska Atmos points over multiple new credit cards. Speculation had long been that the Hawaiian cards would eventually be discontinued. That may still happen, so I might recommend starting there if you haven’t yet opened the Hawaiian cards since the Bank of America Atmos cards will definitely be around long-term.
