Some Marriott cardholders have been targeted for a new spending offer in the past couple of weeks which is awarding an additional 2x bonus points on $3,000 or $4,000 of spend. If this is an offer that interests you and you haven’t already registered, you’ll need to be quick as registration (but not spending) has to be done by tonight (October 14).
The Deal
- Register for the following offer on targeted Marriott credit cards:
- Earn 3,000 bonus points when spending $1,500, or
- Earn 4,000 bonus points when spending $2,000.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- This limited time offer (“Offer”) is available to eligible US Marriott Bonvoy Chase cardmembers with a card issued prior to June 1, 2025 (“eligible cardmembers” or “you”). This Offer is for the intended recipient and cannot be transferred to any other person.
- Eligible cardmembers are given the choice to select their Offer from 2 options. Eligible cardmembers must register for this Offer between October 1 and October 14, 2025, 11:59 PM ET.
- Please note that even though you have an eligible card, you may not be eligible to register for this offer based on your account status and other factors.
- To earn the chosen Marriott Bonvoy bonus points, the registered eligible cardmember must meet the required spend in total eligible purchases (“Threshold Amount”) posted to their Marriott Bonvoy Card Account from the start of the promotion October 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025 11:59 PM ET. If you do not meet the Threshold Amount for your selected offer, no bonus points will be awarded.
- Bonus points will appear on your Marriott Bonvoy member account 8-12 weeks after you meet the chosen spend Threshold Amount.
- Eligible purchases to meet the Threshold Amount can be made by the cardmember and any Authorized User on a single Card account. Authorized Users are not eligible to receive the bonus points. Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits.
- To qualify and receive your bonus points, you must make Purchases totaling your selected spend Threshold Amount or more during the Offer period.
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Quick Thoughts
As mentioned above, this is a targeted spending offer. I received it on my Marriott Bonvoy® Premier Plus Business credit card (no longer eligible for new applications); my wife also still has this card, but she wasn’t targeted.
If you did get an email about this offer, you get the choice of two spending thresholds. The first awards 3,000 bonus points after $1,500 spend, while the other awards 4,000 bonus points after $2,000 spend. That therefore represents an additional 2x points on $1,500 or $2,000 of spending.
That extra 2x could make it more worthwhile to put some spend on the Premier Plus card. The card ordinarily earns the following:
- 6x – Marriott stays
- 4x – Gas, wireless, shipping, & dining
- 2x – All other purchases
The additional 2x therefore makes the above categories worth 8x, 6x, and 4x respectively on $1,500 or $2,000 of spend (whichever option you select). While not stellar, those are decent enough returns, especially if you’re in the market for more Marriott points specifically. The spending period includes Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but it’ll end just before Cyber Monday in case that affects your ability to spend the required amount.
There might be other versions of this spending offer, both in terms of the spending thresholds/points on offer, and with regards to which Chase Marriott cards are targeted. Email subject lines might vary, but the original email I received on October 2 was titled ‘Cardmember Exclusive: Earn up to 4,000 Bonus Points’. Due to the 100K Vacay challenge, I’d not paid much attention to it until receiving a reminder email a few days ago titled ‘Reminder: Register by October 14 to earn up to 4,000 Bonus Points.’
As that second email notes, you have to register by tonight (October 14) in order to participate, although you have until November 30 to complete the spend.

On the Boundless, my options were 1k points for $500 spend or 2k points for $750 spend.
