Google has created a functionality to add your preferred sources to be prioritized in your Google search results, as well as Discover / News Feed. We’ve added a link to the top of the site to make it easier for readers to add Frequent Miler to “preferred sources” if you would prefer to find more of our content in response to your queries.
Obviously, if you subscribe to our newsletter and read our content regularly, this may not be a necessary step for you. However, if you find yourself wishing you could prioritize Frequent Miler responses to your miles and points searches, this could be a way to tell Google which sites you would like to prioritize (Frequent Miler and/or others you enjoy).
If you’re not seeing the link above, follow the steps below if you’d like to add us.
Make Frequent Miler a Preferred Source in Google
Google now lets readers choose the publishers they want prioritized in Search’s Top stories (and readers will sometimes see a “From your sources” box on Google search results) and Google Discover. Here’s how to add Frequent Miler in under a minute.
- Open Google’s “Preferred sources” page:
https://www.google.com/
- In the search field, type Frequent Miler.
- Check the box next to Frequent Miler and confirm.
- When prompted, reload/return to Search.
What changes after you add Frequent Miler?
You should see more Frequent Miler in “Top Stories”, and sometimes a dedicated “From your sources” section on the results page. You can add multiple sources (if there are other blogs you’d like to follow) and edit them at any time.

Bottom line
This is just a way to prioritize more Frequent Miler content in your search results and in your suggested reads for those who would like to do that. Another easy way to figure out if Frequent Miler has written about a topic of interest is to simply lead your search query with the words Frequent Miler. When I want to find an old post to reference, I’ll often type something like “frequent miler how to mix paid and award nights with hyatt” in the Google search bar so that I can find our post about a given topic.

Thanks!
Are there any non-evil search engines we can do this with instead? I’m happy to increase the number of hits for you but I use other search engines.
Great. Thanks. I just added Frequent Miler and a bunch of new sources.
Done. Thanks!
